Tap, Tap, Tap.

its really strange sometimes when you think about it. it is not that i take you for granted baby. i enjoy spending so much time with you, that sometimes when i want you close, all i need to do is reach out and hug you. i love the fact that when you are up and about, and within earshot or sight that i can keep an eye on you and make sure that you are alright. i hate it when you fall sick. i feel so helpless. i can't take away the discomfort that you are feeling. when you sniffle or sneeze, i get worried. even when you are not feeling unwell, i already baby you so much. when i feel a cold day is upon us, i make sure that i wrap you up heaps before i let you out of the door. if it starts raining while we are out, i will make sure i find shelter or a brolley to hide you under. i make sure that you are always warm and toasty in the car by turning the heat up.

now you are sick again. i tuck you straight into bed all bundled up, nice and warm. then i go downstairs to watch a little telly. i plod around the house like a sheppard that has lost his flock. you are my lil sheep. i miss playing with you. talking to you. kissing your cheeks. smelling you close by. tickling you. laughing when you tell me something silly. answering all you little questions about things i have never thought before. sometimes i think that i pamper you way too much darling. but when i see your face, i just want to reach out and cuddle you and pamper you more. it sucks that you are so close to me but yet in another world. i keep checking on you to make sure you aren't too warm or too cold under the blanky, and plant a kiss on your forehead before i leave the room. get well soon baby girl. i'll bring you shopping again when you feel better.

Hoppo nerfs you heaps!

Clean, Clean, Clean.

inspection day is this coming thursday. the place is just a tad bit grotty. laundry has kinda piled up. we have done so many loads in the washing machine. God, one would believe that two people would only have that much clothes. the reality is we both have more clothes then a whole friggin army camp. oh well. it could be worst.

we did it, in a mere few hours the house is more or less inspectable by the landlord. the garden is thriving. the plants are growing, no colors yet, but its getting close. the buds are out. mmm... soon the colors will come.

Crap, Crap, Crap!

its been so long since i washed my car. the poor boy has been covered in dust, then rain upon then air dried, only to have the whole process repeated again. winter is a cars worst enemy. having wet weather to contend with the need to have a shiny car, its obvious to see who the winner is going to be. a totally letagic owner also never helps. half read bits of yellowed newspapers litter the back seat. half a pair of socks tucked beneath the seat. lolly wrappers. parking coupons. sand. tiny rocks. mysterious screws that appear each time i decide upon a little adventure behind the car dash. i take out 10 screws, only to find 4 spares after all the bits are in. strange. chances of something major happening without those 4 extra screws? nil. well, that's what i tell myself anyway.

today, i decided to give it a nice once over. a good clean and wash. although long over due, but not forgotten, is the duty that i had sworn to myself the day i bought my car that i would keep it in as clean a state as time permits. bucket in hand, and sponge filled with suds, i washed him then dried him with my trusty faux-leather chamois. mmm...standing back i admire the lustrous shine that was hidden beneath the dust shell that had formed before. after that i cleared the throngs of trash that littered the back. it had so much paper pieces that any hamster lucky enough to have entered my car, would have found the perfect hamster utopia. gone, all gone. every single last scrap of paper, all removed. after all that i scan the finished product. nice. shine and clean finally. time to go out for dinner with my darling and my clean car. mmm...

we were almost at the restaurant that my darling picked and made bookings for. then it happened. i ran my car up someone else's rear. i was trying to switch lanes, because i was stuck behind a car line that placed me inside the on coming traffic box. so i signaled, and turned. crack. i could see bits of plastic pieces from the headlight protector chipping, and taking flight. drove to a quiet lane with lesser traffic to exchange details and survey the damage. glancing at the guys bumper that i clipped, zero damage. looking at my front head lights, squished. he was nice, he said, his was an old sturdy bomb, no biggie. in fact, i think he felt sorry for my car.

sigh.

it seldom rains, it only pours.

Melt, Melt, Melt.

today is officially the 3rd day of spring. here in Australia, we get to have things always back to front. we get our Winters mid year and during year end in Dec, we get to celebrate the real X'mas holidays all over again smack right in out Summer holidays. nice to imagine snow falling when its 45 Degrees Celsius (or for the rebels who use the alien system, 113 Fahrenheits) out in the open. well i'm not one to complain about the cold. i have long been a player in Jack Frost's Camp. think about it, with the cold, you need only wear thicker clothes before it is all good. with the hot, how much can you take of before it becomes illegal to invite friends over?

i enjoy the cold. everything is so much better when its cold. hugs are better. you get them more frequently. drinking hot beverages makes sense. if it wasn't the fact there was Winter, i might possibly subsist only on cold softdrinks and some kind of animal by-product.

you have the tolerance level to the cold, like cats like showers. i have to wrap you in folds of clothing that would have the eskimos in stitches if they saw you. i much rather you look like the marshmallow man then you freezing to death. afterall, i have no use for a dead sexy girlfriend. oh well, Spring isn't half bad. our garden will start to look decent now that we have planted our flowers in the last week of winter. green will no longer be the running theme for the garden. it will happen. you just have to wait for it.

on the upside, even though the weather is starting to turn warm and uncomfortable for me, your winter clothes are starting to come off one layer at a time. soon, it will only be nice singlet and sweet dresses. mmm... that darling is worth all the tea in China.
